Pop-up reminders
Your child gets plenty of advance warning to finish whatever they are doing.

Audible reminders - "You have five minutes left"
Sometimes kids get immersed in full-screen video games and won't see the pop-up messages.
A warm, friendly voice tells them how much time remains through the computer's speakers.

When time's up
When time limits are reached, the screen goes black except for the dialog shown below.
TimesUpKidz blocks access to the computer until they have available time again.

How the countdown starts and stops
TimesUpKidz uses Windows accounts to track who is using the computer; these are the names with pictures on the Windows Welcome screen. Your child starts using their time by logging on to Windows. They take a break (and stop the timer) by choosing Log Off or Lock or Switch User from the Windows Start menu.
